08 May What’s Happening
I hope you have had a great week—it’s been an incredibly eventful week of ministry at Mosaic Church, and throughout the city. We had our Radiant Moms class meet this week, our CHI Street Team out on the streets in the rain last night ministering to the homeless community, and tonight we have our next “TGA:Diversity” class (TGA stands for “The Gospel And…”). This is in addition to all the community groups we have meeting all over the city throughout the week!
In case you hadn’t heard, our goal with the TGA meetings is to create a safe space where we can grow in our ability to hear one another better and see one another more clearly as those who are made in the image of God. In a diverse and multicultural church like ours, developing a skill set to handle challenging topics and conversations that would normally drive other groups of people apart is crucial. We love what God has done here in our midst and we believe that we have something to offer to the city and the world through our unique “DNA”, and these meetings we believe are a tool to help us accomplish just that.
It’s not too late to come, but it is too late for childcare at this point! It will start at 7 pm in the Family Room.
Also, this Sunday, we want to begin to highlight a series of amazing things God has done during our Sunday morning gatherings. Over the last couple of months, you have heard about some of the missionaries we partner with around the world, then we focused on some stories from our community groups that meet around the city, and this week, again, we’ll look at things that have happened as we have gathered in God’s presence. When we gather, we expect that He will meet with us and move throughout the room—speaking to us, healing us, encouraging us, and more. We begin this week with an incredible story that will tie directly into Mother’s Day—it’s a story of redemption so amazing that only God could orchestrate it.
Finally, I want to encourage you to especially be there this Sunday. There will be, at the conclusion of our time together, some serious “family” business that we need to communicate to you and that you need to know about, and that we, as an elder team, want you to hear directly from us.
I can’t wait to see you tonight and then this weekend.
Love,
Morgan
