02 Aug What Mosaic Values (Partly, Anyway)
After one of our services on Sunday, one of our amazing members approached me and shared how strongly encouraged and impressed they were by…(would you like to take a guess at what was shared)?
Was it the talent level of our music leaders?
The great message from Pastor Cori?
The sacrificial leadership from all of our team members?
Nope.
What was so encouraging to this individual was…
The list of GROW classes shared in an announcement.
Yes, that’s correct. This person was “fired up” because they could see what Mosaic values on display:
- Evangelism (ENGAGE 77)
- Bible Literacy (Names of God at both Mosaic North and South)
- Family Support (Hope Filled Parenting)
- Peacemaking (Politics)
- Cultural and Ethnic Diversity (Ethnicity, Justice, and the People of God)
- Once again, Bible Literacy (Messianic Prophecy)
And while we certainly maintain values beyond what you just read, all of the above do communicate some part of our vision to make disciples through the core values of worship, community, and mission in a multiethnic, multigenerational context.
And, in case it wasn’t obvious, GROW itself demonstrates our commitment to obeying the Greatest Commandment: to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
And on top of this, our registration for Leadership 215, a two-year commitment to study and leadership development, in partnership with Every Nation Churches, is totally full, and a waiting list has been created.
I’m thankful for our congregation’s response to the challenge to GROW (and thankful for all our instructors as well!).
You can sign up for one or more of those courses (some of them begin as early as August 11) here. Don’t see the course you’re looking for? Check back in the coming weeks as later courses’ sign-ups will open closer to their start dates.
