What Goes With Your Coffee Bar Drink

Hi everyone! I’m excited to announce the opening (grand, or otherwise) of our new Mosaic Bookstore at North Campus (more on South Campus in a moment). Located in the back of the lobby, it will carry a number of rotating titles and a few apparel items. It’s a project I’ve dreamed about being able to launch for a while, and thanks to some of our amazing staff and team members, we are finally going to be able to pull it off.

A QUICK FAQ
Why are we doing this?

Reading books of almost any kind is crucial for a healthy person and population, and being Christians who read–not just short-form articles and even shorter social media bursts–-but people (and Christians) who read long-form thought are generally less susceptible to heresy and poor leadership. Being people who are capable of tracking thoughts and ideas for longer periods of time just makes us better people, thinkers, and leaders, period.

Plus, you know, we already have a coffee bar! What goes better together than coffee and books?

And, by making these titles available in person, and not just asking you to go find a book online, we are trying to up the convenience factor by quite a bit.

Why are we doing this now?

Truth be told, a number of our staff know I’ve talked about this for quite some time, and admittedly, the publication of Carrie’s and my book was the straw that grabbed the camel’s horns, or whatever metaphor you might want to insert there (I’ve mixed at least three)! But it’s not only about ours, there are a number of other great resources I hope you check out and find enriching.

How much will they be?

All titles and clothing will be sold at cost, depending on the item; Mosaic isn’t making a profit on any of this. We are planning to have free Bibles available, however.

I love books and bookstores! Can I volunteer to help be a part of this team?

Yes! There is space for you, and especially if you are from Mosaic South and would like to lead a new team that makes books and Mosaic shirts available, we would love to talk to you and help you either be a part of our team up north or help to start a Mosaic South table! Just contact us here.
We will see you Sunday, for our final week of Friendship Can Save the World.

I’m trusting the Lord has saved the best for last.

See you soon!
