17 Mar Time to GROW
One of the best choices I ever made as a young minister was to make the time to invest in some ongoing spiritual and theological training (well, I suppose some full disclosure here would be good—I was told to by my pastor at the time I had to do it, so sign up I did!).
Looking back, one the things I can see is just how much I didn’t know about my faith and how to share it, and how much ongoing classes helped give me stuff I didn’t even know I needed to be a successful Christian.
One of the great traditions of our faith is the commitment to ongoing education—Scriptures like “Love the Lord your God with all your mind…” have been a rallying cry of the church for centuries, and we want to begin taking some small steps toward doing that in a greater way here at Mosaic.
Now, we currently don’t offer a 2-year program like what I went through that is aimed at doing the same thing I experienced, but at Mosaic we are expanding our GROW “brand”, if you will, to be more than a single summer course, but rather a regular part of our church rhythm and calendar.
So, if you haven’t heard—or if you have and you are on the fence about signing up for one of our 4-week GROW courses—let me encourage you to consider being a part.
We have two brand new courses that begin April 3rd, one on understanding the first five book of the Old Testament, called “Decoded”, and the other on equipping you to share your faith in a greater way, called “When Necessary, Use Words”.
We’ve made these so cheap it’s ridiculous! It’s only $20/person and childcare is a little extra if you need someone to watch your kiddos. The classes will be on Sunday nights from 6-8 pm for the month of April.
Register here! We can’t wait for you to come and GROW with us!
