26 Aug This Sunday at Mosaic!
Hi everyone! This weekend should be one of the most fun and meaningful weekends of the year—it’s something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for months now—it’s our 2016 Back to School service.
No matter if you don’t have children (like most of our singles), no matter if your children are grown (like many of you), no matter if you’re not a student (like just about all of us 23 and up!), this Sunday is for you, as we will be highlighting a group Jesus told us to do everything we could to clear out obstacles from them coming to him—our young people. We will have a ton of creative elements in our service, including special music, videos, dance and a message, along with special guest SaulPaul and hundreds of backpacks ready to be handed out in the community!
There are around 300 children and students here at Mosaic, and it is an incredible privilege to be a part of a church with so much of a future. It is a sad reality that many churches across our nation are dying today, with no vision for loving and serving children and students, or an unwillingness to make the necessary sacrifices.
Yes, it’s costly. Yes, it’s inconvenient. But by discipling and serving them, we create the kind of future we would all say we want—one full of vibrancy and excitement, with young people on fire for their faith and their God.
At some point in your faith journey, it just stops being about you, and it becomes about living a 2 Timothy 2:2 life—one aimed at passing on what Jesus has given us! This Sunday is one way of saying we are excited about our future, and about the opportunities we have to do something great for Jesus and to pass on what He has given us.
So I hope you’ll be there, and I hope you’ll bring a friend—it’s going to be a great morning.
See you then!
