02 Jul Stuff Coming Up
Hi all!
Just wanted to give you a quick update about some cool things happening around our facility over the next few weeks:
We are changing the names of our children’s and junior high ministry environments to bring them more in line with our overall brand/theme/name of the church. For those of you who work in the business world, you understand the helpful clarity and synergy this can bring. Obviously, names aren’t the most important thing about a church, but they are important to consider and pray through. So, after much prayer and discussion, beginning July 12…
1. Promiseland will be renamed “mKids”! We will be having a special Sunday for our kids that day, and we will be giving away a brand new free mKids t-shirt and balloon for your child (if you have one, or more, for that matter). We are ordering enough shirts for every child that is in Promiseland/mKids overall, but the best way to ensure that every one of your children get one is to be here that Sunday. We understand that some will be traveling, and if that’s you, you can ask for your child’s shirt when you return! Again, that’s next Sunday, July 12!
We will also be getting new t-shirts for all you amazing Promiseland/mKids team members (that sound you just heard in the background was all of them cheering).
2. Our junior high environment is now called “mYouth”, and will be taking place on Sunday morning only (service TBD). The changeover/promotion date is August 2 for all children. Elevate, by special exception and request, will be for senior high only and be Sunday night only.
3. Our new 183 entrance sign will be going up some time during July, likely the third week of the month. We hope its striking and simple design is intriguing to the more than half a million people who drive past it everyday, and is something that you are proud to call your own as a member of Mosaic.
All right, that’s it! This Sunday, we are continuing on in the book of Galatians, and looking at what having Christian peace is really all about (hint: how you get it may not be what you think!), which I believe will be a great encouragement to you and strengthening for you in the midst of all the challenges our nation has been going through over the last several months, and help equip you and me to be what God has called us be and do what He has called us to do.
Galatians 5:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
