03 Nov Special Sunday this Weekend at Mosaic
What a great weekend we had! Our Fall Festival was back, and hats off to all of you who volunteered and labored and made it happen, especially to Drea Kelly (our Events Coordinator), Joseph Quiroz (Facilities), and Mallary Brown, who helped design the whole experience. If you were there, you know that you were there along with seemingly countless others, and it was definitely the largest single event we have ever done, and there were so many people there that you invited or that came from around our neighborhood!
We planned for a large crowd, but that one exceeded even what we had planned for—halfway through, the parking was more than gone, and we had to be creative to fit everyone in.
I hope you had a great time like my family did, and we are already looking at where we can improve for next year!
That brings me to what is coming up next at Mosaic, and especially this Sunday.
This Sunday, I want to especially encourage you to make plans to be there, as our elder team will be, together, giving you an update on where we are as a church, some next steps forward we can take together, and what our plan is to make that happen.
If you are new to our community, you may not know all the dramatic (and really, miraculous) backstory of our church, and the lessons we have learned (and are learning) along the way. God has been so faithful through all our downs and ups, and more than anything, if you are there, I believe you will be incredibly inspired to see and hear what you are a part of and the story God is telling through us in the Austin area.
So, again, please make sure you are there to hear directly from us and prepare to be inspired and encouraged by what you hear…and, if you are able, consider being a part of our third service and our brand-new third service hangout, happening on the first Sunday of the month over in Elevate. We’ll have more pizza than last time and make some space for everyone to hang out and watch a game and just be together. It all happens right after the third service ends.
That’s it! I’ll see you this Sunday.
