Pentecost Recap ICYMI, PBS Time for Singles

I was so blessed by our Pentecost celebration this past Sunday. If you were there, and especially if you saw the Mission 2029 video (a new church planting initiative from our global spiritual family, Every Nation), you may be wondering, “What can I do? What’s next?” Allow me to offer a few hints:

1.) You can pray for one of the nations you saw listed. Prayer has been a major way that God opens up new nations and does incredible things. You likely had the name of a nation strike your heart for a good reason: God loves it and wants you to partner with him by lifting that nation back up to him.

2.) You can ask, not do I have a distant friend back from high school who has relocated, but do I know someone who may legitimately be interested in, and have the ability to, start a Bible study or college campus outreach that could lead to a church plant. If so, feel free to reach out them, fact find, and reply to this email. I can’t promise that something will always take shape from this, but you never know!

3.) You can give to Mission 2029 here. We are beginning a small seed of finances to be able to, when the time is right, to either fund a new church plant through another Every Nation church in a new nation, or fund our own efforts, should the Lord allow.

If all this is new to you, check out the video on the vision for Mission 2029 here.

Also…it’s PBS time

Punch Bowl Social time, that is.

If you’re reading this and want to connect with other (mostly) singles from Mosaic, here’s your summer chance.
Our group is gathering at Punch Bowl Social in the Domain on Saturday, June 28  to make sure we are present with and for one another. Show up ready to be a positive presence in someone’s life, and to have a great time in a great Austin spot. I’m thankful to be a part of a local church that believes in and supports singles in a city full of them.

You can register here.

P.S. I’ll see you this Sunday as we close out our series on “Processing the Emotional Life,” as we look at the emotion of anger. Don’t get mad the series is over. Or do. 🙂 Just be present!
