16 Dec New Deacon Nominees
In case you missed it last Sunday, we introduced a number of new deacon candidates.
We have many, many amazing people at Mosaic, but we do ask a few every year to serve for at least one year on our deacon team, based on the qualifications laid out in the New Testament in 1 Timothy 3.
In addition to these, we ask that our deacons really be servants and cheerleaders of the values of this local church, in particular, and that they function as a visible and present source of ministry and help for our members and guests.
When we bring these nominees before the church, we create a 30-day window for members of Mosaic to gives us any feedback regarding these nominees that gives them pause as to why they might be unfit for the role, so if this is the case for you, please feel free to contact our elder team at elders@mosaicchurchaustin.com.
The new nominees are (in alphabetical order):
Carla Adams
Leah Hargrave
Keivon Liburd
Cori Sullivan
Stephen Vigorito
Discontinuing from last year are Adam Jennings, Wyatt Sullivan, and Rob Gottschalk. Thank you, gentlemen, for your service and contribution to our deacon team and to Mosaic Church!
We will confirm our new candidates after the 30-day window closes on January 15, 2017, and we hope you are there to support and pray for them that day.
That’s it! We’ll see you Sunday, as we continue to celebrate the birth of our King! Thanks to so many of you who made last Sunday night so much fun at our Christmas party, and thank you to so many of you who have been so generous this Christmas season and given to our Project Christmas. It has been amazing, above and beyond, and every year I am blown away by our heart and ability to get behind things like this and demonstrate kindness and concern for those in need. Thank you!!
Much love,
Morgan
