21 Jan Mosaic’s Marriage Event
A couple of months ago, Carrie and I were able to take a short trip together to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary!
We went to a beach location to be alone and get away. (We had a mostly great time, thank you very much. To hear more about what that mostly means, you’ll have to come to what I’m about to invite you to!)
While we were there just lounging on the beach, we watched an older couple, likely married 50 years or more, splashing in the shallow water, picking up seashells, and generally looking lost in love together well into their later years.
We sort of stared at them, a little in awe, and I said to Carrie, “There goes the story of the world in the hearts of two people.”
What I meant was two things, both at once:
First, I mean that if God really is the Creator and Author of all we see, and He Himself is a love relationship of three persons–Father, Son and Spirit–then at the center of the world is a giant love story.
And second, when we see that kind of love story lived out in front of our eyes, we remember, Oh yeah, that’s what it’s all about.
To that end, I’d like to invite all our married couples to our upcoming Mosaic Marriage Event the weekend of February 18-19, titled, as you may have guessed, just that: The Story of the World in the Hearts of Two People.
We’ll be looking at marriage through the lens of the traditional three-act story form: the beginning (remember how great that was?), the middle (where things go sideways and obstacles have to be overcome), and the end (where true love triumphs over all).
We’ll have games, a TON of giveaways and date night prizes, food and more food, lots of breakouts led by Mosaic facilitators…I could go on.
The thing we need the most? You!
So don’t delay–register now if you haven’t already in order to invest in your marriage story in this unique way.
Unfortunately, due to logistics and spacing for the event, we only have room for 100 couples (there is a waiting list), and while this event will be in-person only, we will be recording our sessions and will make them available soon thereafter (and full disclosure, at the time of writing, there are only spots left for 20 couples; this event always fills up quickly).
Can’t wait to see you there!
Morgan
P.S. To all the husbands out there who think this is an acceptable thing to attend in lieu of another Valentine’s Day moment for you and your wife, please think again. Trust me, don’t even suggest it. You’re welcome!
