Mosaic’s Fall Festival, South Campus & Deacon Nominees

It is that time of year! Mosaic’s fall festival is just around the corner, and it’s our largest event of the year. It’s happening in our parking lot from 4 – 7 pm on Sunday, October 30, and we couldn’t be more excited about it.

So, here are, in no particular order, the top six (yes, six) reasons you should come:

6. The food.

Candy, freshly grilled hamburger and hot dog meal deals, popcorn, cotton candy, and more. Please come “taste and see” that this is a fun event.

5. All the attractions.

Bounce houses, a petting zoo, not one but two mechanical bulls, a rock climbing wall, human foosball, and way too much more to include right here. There is stuff for all ages.

4. The costume contest.

This one is so much fun! You’ll see the cutest kids you can imagine, the most hilarious family get-ups ever, and lots of your friends wearing stuff and makeup past the point of recognition. It never gets old.

3. The decorations.

Each year we make it better and better, and it is really amazing to see our parking lot decorated and transformed to the degree it is.

2. All the fun.

This is way more meaningful than staying at home! Football games and TV shows can wait. If you’re new to Mosaic, take a chance and join a ton of people outdoors in a really fun, public, social way.

1. The opportunity.

Your friends and neighbors will come to this event if invited! Every year, perhaps apart from Christmas and Easter services, we see more visitors from the community than at any other time of year. Connecting with the community in this kind of way is good for our at-large social fabric, helps people get comfortable with being on our property, allows you the opportunity to connect a guest with your Christian community, and most of all, allows us to (hopefully) communicate that Mosaic Church loves them and God does, too.

Your help with this goes a long way! We need the Mosaic Community you are a part of to sign up and help make each station great. Ask your community leader how to get plugged in!

Can’t wait to see you there on October 30.

P.S.  – There will be adjustments to our parking for that event, as you might imagine! Details to come before that day.

P.P.S.  – Ladies, I hope you have a wonderful time if you’re able to attend the Night of Ministry. I won’t be there, but we did pray this morning on our prayer call that you may be blessed by this evening!

Mosaic Church South Austin Work Days

We are beyond blessed and humbled by the gift of Mosaic Church South Austin, the former Texas Oaks Baptist Church. As we prepare for a soft launch in November, we are orchestrating Saturday work days over the next few weeks to handle a number of changes and adjustments to the facility. If you’d like to help clean, paint, install or organize on a Saturday in October, let us know on this form. We will be working from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm on October 15, 22, and 29.

Deacon Nominees

You might remember, from a few weeks ago, that we announced eight individuals being considered for the role of deacon. Because we don’t take this role lightly, we are giving the larger Mosaic community a 30-day window to communicate to us any concerns you may have about any of these individuals assuming this leadership role. That window closes on October 25. If there are no major concerns, these individuals will be confirmed as deacons on Sunday, October 30.

Please send any concerns or feedback to deaconnominees@mosaicchurchaustin.com, and more importantly keep these leaders in your prayers.

Community Groups

Community groups are where we seek to live out the Gospel in relationship with others within a smaller community context.
