22 Oct Mosaic’s 20th Anniversary

Well, the week is finally here! This weekend we will be celebrating Mosaic’s 20th anniversary.

It’s hard to believe, but twenty years ago today (sorry, couldn’t resist the Beatles reference)—actually, just 20 years ago this fall—this church was planted.

We’ve had some incredible moments, some heartbreaking losses, and countless lives changed over the last two decades. In short, we’ve been like any other family.

And now, almost 20 years, 4 facilities, 4 pastors and 3 church names later, we want to celebrate all God has done here in this local church—and I rarely say this, but you really don’t want to miss it.

We have been working for months behind the scenes to make this Sunday a special one. From our “Timeline” video to our new church vision video to new music and a special song written for this Sunday by our songwriting team; from dances to thank yous to stories to some vision casting for our future to some new incredible artwork in the lobby to some surprises I’m not allowed to talk about here—it’s going to be a weekend to remember.

Above all, our aim is to honor Jesus as being the one “in whom all things hold together” (Colossians chapter 1), and if there were a weekend to invite someone to experience what this church is all about, this is the weekend to do it. I believe you will be both incredibly encouraged by seeing the powerful and sustaining hand of God through this church’s history, and incredibly proud of the kind of church you are a part of.

So, let me ask you to do one thing in anticipation of this Sunday morning:

Please arrive and be in your seat early this Sunday! We expect this to feel a bit like an “Easter Sunday”. For one, it won’t hurt you to get there early and talk to some people you haven’t seen in awhile, and second, this will be a special service with our “usual” order highly inverted. So, if you don’t want to miss our new content, video elements and shorter message, you’ll need to be in your seats and on time, as we will begin promptly at 9:30 am and 11:15 am.

OK, that’s it! Can’t wait to see you there Sunday morning. Let’s party like it’s 1995! 🙂
