Mosaic Staff Updates

Hi everyone! I have three updates for you about our staff team:

1. The first update is some bittersweet (but exciting nonetheless!) news about Pastor Nathan Brown.

After being a member here for many years, and being on staff with Mosaic Church for the past six years, Pastor Nathan, along with his wife, Ashley, feel called to transition out of Mosaic and to plant a church in Liberty Hill with Vintage Church, out of the Belton/Harker Heights area (Vintage Church exists outside of Mosaic and our larger Every Nation spiritual family).

For the last several months, Nathan has been consistently talking about and processing this feeling and calling with our elder team, and we feel like now is the time to release him into this next stage of his ministry.

As you know, Nathan has contributed significantly to the shaping and growth of this church through his gifts of worship, leading and teaching, among others. His wife, Ashley, has been a key team member working with our students for many years now, and both of them have been such a blessing to so many.

One exciting aspect of this transition is the ability Nathan will have to be able to do ministry with his son, Joshua, who is the student pastor for Vintage Church. While Nathan and Ashley’s church plant will be in Liberty Hill, they will be working for the same church and ministry as Joshua.

Nathan’s last day in our office will be on October 31st, and we will be gifting him the last two months of the year to transition with his family and to get a head start on his future plans. I know when I relocated to pastor at Mosaic, some meaningful transition time would have been a real gift and a help to my family. We hope this will be that for them.

So, if you know Nathan and Ashley, and as you see them around over the next few months, please say hello and tell them thank you for their faithful service and leadership! We will be having a special stage moment this Sunday to honor and pray for Nathan and the Brown family as they transition.

We plan on making a special gift to both the Brown family and sowing a financial seed into their church plant as well.

I’m glad to be a part of a great big Kingdom with the Browns, with you, and with the body of Christ all over our city and world. We are, as I know you are, sad to see the Brown family go but are excited to support them and cheer for them as they do.

I hope you’ll be there in person or online with us for this special moment this Sunday.

2. We are excited to announce the hire of Patricia Flenniken as our event coordinator. Patricia has been in the event planning industry for about 15 years and has worked with community organizations, churches, and other non-profits. She and her husband, Greg, and their family have been at Mosaic for a number of years now, and we are blessed to have them here. You may know that she has been leading our efforts in planning for the upcoming Fall Festival and has been doing a great job.

3. We are also sad to say goodbye to Jeanette Perez, who has been our administrative assistant and event coordinator for the past 18 months. She came into our church through our Every Nation Campus chapter at UT many years ago and has been a blessing at our church. She is relocating back to San Antonio to be nearer to her family of origin. We will be posting a job opening for an administrative position next week, so keep an eye out for that.

That’s it! See you soon!

Much love,

Morgan
