mKids | WHAT’S HAPPENING IN JUNE!

What’s Happening in mKids!

Yay, summertime! Long days at the pool and vacation time, here we come! With all the great things planned for Summer, we would like to thank our mKids team members for this past school year in mKids! We have almost 80 team members that serve over 250 children every or every other Sunday during the school year. Their heart commitments and investment of their time and talents are a huge part of what makes mKids great. Our children are known and seen by both a God that loves them, but also by their teachers and our support teamm. We like to make sure our team members have the space to take vacations as well during the summer, and there are two things we would like you to consider doing in appreciation of them as mKids parents.

#1: TELL THEM. Tell them the great stories that go home with you on a Sunday. Tell them how much you appreciate their consistent presence. Tell them how much you appreciate who they are and what they do. We often forget how powerful a few words of encouragement can be!

#2: SERVE WITH THEM. Leaving our kids during their vacations and potentially leaving holes that can’t be filled is hard on our team members. They want our children to have the best Sunday experience and that takes people serving for them and with them. If you are already a member of Mosaic Church, it is as easy as CLICKING HERE! If you have yet to become a member of Mosaic Church, we encourage you to check out our upcoming membership class to learn more about what that looks like. Our next team member orientation is coming up quickly, so let us know you are ready to serve as soon as possible.

Thank you for showing appreciation to our mKids team members and we will see you on Sunday!

In regards to the recent tragedies and loss of lives, we are heartbroken and devastated. Not only are we feeling powerless, but so are our children. We would encourage you to read this week’s email from Pastor Morgan Stephens for your own consideration as parents. You can find that email HERE.

Also, we would like to encourage you to start the conversation with your children. We have found THIS RESOURCE to be a great starting place in the past and we hope you can use some of it to help start the conversations at home.

mKIDS LESSONS ARE BOTH IN PERSON & ONLINE! Learn more about our upcoming in person lessons, online lessons, and worship songs below!

Below is your overview of our upcoming Sunday lessons for all age/grade groups. If you would like to stay in step with the in-person curriculum, we invite you to watch both the lessons and worship using the links below.

PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

Our preschool units this month are, “TEST IN THE DESERT”, “STONES, SLINGS & GIANT THINGS”, and “THE DREAMER”.

In Test in the Desert, kids will learn that sin makes your heart dirty! Eeew! We can ask Jesus for His love and forgiveness. He will wash your heart pure and clean from sins. Stay pure by saying, “No!” to sins, like Jesus did when he was tested in the desert.

A heart that matches God’s heart is ready to do what is good! But how do you know if your heart matches God’s heart? Get to know God by through the Bible, singing to God, and praying. In Stones, Slings, & Giant Things, we’ll look at the story of David and Goliath.

God has good plans for everything He made. Most of all, God has good things for us to do when we trust and follow Jesus! He uses our good days and our bad days to help us do the good plans He has for us! In The Dreamer, kids will learn about the life of Joseph and how God used even Joseph’s misfortunes to put him in the right place to fulfill God’s plan.

TEST IN THE DESERT (May 29th)
STONES, SLINGS, & GIANT THINGS (June 5th & 12th)
THE DREAMER (June 19th & 26th)

5 & KINDER THROUGH 2ND GRADE CURRICULUM

Our upcoming lessons are, “COURAGE” & “HOPE”.

Compared to Bible heroes and superheroes, it may seem like a regular kid might not have courage. But in the lesson Courage, we’ll learn what courage really is and how God can empower all of us when we trust in Him. Courage is bravery in the face of fear, doing what’s right even when no one else is, never giving up on the directions God has given us, praying to see God’s promises come true, and giving up everything in our lives as a sacrifice to Him.

When you have Hope, you believe the future can be better and that you have a role to play in making it better. While others can support us and help us stay focused on goals that lead to a better personal future, our best hope is anchored in Jesus—He is always good, and that never changes. When we choose to follow Him, He gives us a hope that is alive: He died for our sins but came back to life to give us a better eternity. Hope in Jesus is powerful and it comes with responsibility. Our hope in Jesus isn’t just for us. God’s plan is for us, as people of His Church, to spread the hope of Jesus to hurting people who need it.

COURAGE / Week 2 (May 29th)
COURAGE / Week 3 (June 12th)
HOPE / Week 1 (June 19th)
HOPE / Week 2 (June 26th)

PLEASE NOTE: KIDCON SUNDAY WILL BE TAKING PLACE ON JUNE 5TH WITH A SPECIAL LESSON FOR ALL 5K THROUGH 5TH GRADERS.

3RD THROUGH 5TH GRADE CURRICULUM

Our upcoming lessons are, “UPDATES” & “WE BELONG TOGETHER”.

Get ready to tackle maturity with your students in this three-week series of personal and spiritual Updates! Students will update their maturity levels, weigh their words, and raise the bar for themselves by learning to own their own growth. Oh, it’s a big one—and your students are ready for it!

In We Belong Together, we will be asking and answering… Why did God make us different? Why does God ask us to love one another equally? And what’s a great way to start a conversation with someone who’s outside my usual friendship circles? These are all questions your students will wrestle with as they learn that God designed us all different—but we all belong together! They’ll dive into Romans 12, which tells us that just as our physical bodies have many parts with many functions, so it is with Jesus’ followers. We are many parts of one body of Christ, and we all belong to each other!

UPDATES / Week 1 (May 29th)
UPDATES / Week 2 (June 12th)

UPDATES / Week 3 (June 19th)
