Here’s What’s Happening in mKids!
Hello & Happy New Year!
We hope you have had a meaningful and amazing holiday season. As we head into 2022, we pray that this new year finds you well and full of the Joy of the Lord. This Sunday, January 2nd, there will be no mKids for our 1st through 5th graders, they are welcome to join us in the main worship center. The ushers will have an activity sheet available for them as they worship and honor God alongside our whole church. Childcare will be available for our Kinder and under kids. All mKids classrooms will be open on Sunday, January 9th.

Below is your overview of our upcoming Sunday lessons for all age/grade groups. If you would like to stay in step with the in-person curriculum, we invite you to watch both the lessons and worship using the links below.
PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM
Our two units this month are, “God’s Wonderful Gift” & “Two by Two”.
Our God’s Wonderful Gift lesson talks to our preschoolers about how Jesus had died willingly on the cross and had come back to life! Everyone who believes in Jesus could now be forgiven for their sins! But not everyone knew this Good News. So, God sent His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit helped Jesus’ followers to share the Good News of Jesus with others. The Holy Spirit is with Jesus’ followers today, too.
In Two By Two, we will learn how God provided a way to keep Noah, his family and the animals safe during the flood. He gave Noah instructions to follow. Noah followed God’s instructions and was kept safe during the flood. God loves us and provides ways to keep us safe, too.

5 & KINDER THROUGH 2ND GRADE CURRICULUM
Our upcoming lesson is, “The Bible”.
God’s story in the Bible is really, really Good News—and you’re part of the story!
The Bible is an incredible book to read, talk about, and explore over and over again! This series is all about the big story of the whole Bible and what it means for us as followers of Jesus. It includes study tips for kids, how to pick a great Bible, and what to do when the Bible seems confusing, hard, or leaves you with more questions than answers.

We will finish our January lessons with “Konnect: The Musical”.
Ready to learn how to live a life filled with love? Konnect: The Musical is the most fun way to teach just that! When you’re born, your outside appearance looks a lot like your dad here on earth, and you might even learn to act a lot like him. When you choose to follow Jesus, you are “born again.” It’s your chance to start looking like God, your heavenly Dad! How do you know what God is like, though? How can you start to look like Him? Look at God’s Son, Jesus. When we learn to live and love like God, our Father, others will see who He is through us—and they may choose to be His child, too!
3RD THROUGH 5TH GRADE CURRICULUM
Our upcoming lesson is, “Suit Up”.
There’s an invisible struggle between good and evil. Beyond what we can identify with our human senses is a supernatural world. It can be difficult to explain, but God made it clear through Jesus that we should be aware of this spiritual realm. We’ll use the theme of secret agents on a mission to defeat evil to teach Loop students about the invisible world surrounding us all. Don’t worry, students will learn that good (God!) always wins in the end. And they’ll learn from Ephesians 6:10-11 that God has provided them with the armor (aka spy gear) they need to fight evil. Students will understand how to equip themselves with truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation!

We will finish January by continuing our deep dive foundational series into HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM. Be on the lookout for an email with parent information on that Sunday, January 30th!
