April Lessons for mKids!

mKIDS LESSONS ARE BOTH IN PERSON & ONLINE! In this blog, learn more about our upcoming in-person lessons, online lessons, and worship songs!

Below is your overview of our upcoming Sunday lessons for all age/grade groups at Mosaic Church Austin campuses.

PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

Our preschool units this month are, “IT IS FINISHED”, “A HAPPY SUNDAY” & “JOURNEYS FOR JESUS”!

In the lesson “It Is Finished“, preschoolers will learn that Jesus gave us exactly what we needed. He showed love for everyone when He died for everyone’s sins on the cross. Three days later, He came back to life! When we choose to follow Jesus, He takes the sin right out of our hearts, so we can love others the way He loves us.

IT IS FINISHED (April 2nd)

In the lesson “A Happy Sunday,” preschoolers will learn the Easter story of Jesus’ resurrection.

A HAPPY SUNDAY (April 9th & 16th)

Go, go, go share Jesus with everyone you know, know, know! In “Journeys for Jesus“, Jesus tells all His friends to go into the whole world and preach God’s Good News. Everyone needs you to share Jesus with them, everywhere you go!

JOURNEYS FOR JESUS (April 23rd & 30th)

5 & KINDER THROUGH 2ND GRADE CURRICULUM

Our upcoming lessons are “OTHERS FIRST” & “INNER WORLD”.

In this lesson, “Others First”, kids will learn that knowing about God’s love means nothing if we don’t accept it for ourselves and express it to others. We’ll find out what loving God and loving others looks like—accepting God’s forgiveness and extending it to others through love, forgiveness, and selfless service. These are important parts of love, and they’re meaningful acts of worship when they’re the outcome of our great love for God.

In the 4 week lesson “Inner World“, our kids will learn that God made us to have emotions, and God has them, too. God’s always with you to help you figure out why you feel the way you do, and how to deal with it. Whether the emotions feel good or bad to you, they can be helpful. Pay attention to your emotions. Learn to name them. Talk to God, trusted leaders, parents, and friends to help you sort through them. If the way you feel leads you to make wrong choices, remember God’s grace—He’s with you to help you get back on track no matter how you’re feeling.

3RD THROUGH 5TH GRADE CURRICULUM

Our upcoming lessons are, “PUT LOVE FIRST”, “FOLLOW ME”, & “MINDFUL”.

What does it actually look like to live your life showing God’s love? This three-week lesson, “Put Others First“, will teach your students how to put love first in their friendships, families, and neighborhoods.

For the lesson “Follow Me“, students will learn all about Jesus. What did He do when He was on earth? Why did so many people follow Him? Is He the Son of God? And should we follow Him today? The hope is that students do choose to follow the unique, unpredictable, unrivaled, living, eternal Jesus who walked this earth to bring us closer to God.

Where do your students’ thoughts go? Are they sunny and positive? Cloudy or unpleasant? This three-week lesson, “Mindful“, will use powerful truth from Philippians 4:8 to help students learn to think about the things they think about! They’ll learn to renew their minds by guiding their thoughts, emotions, and attention God’s way!
