Men’s Night and Important Update on Re-Opening

Church Family,

Before you hear about the important update about our re-opening, we did want to remind all our men about our upcoming virtual MEN’S NIGHT this Thursday from 7-9 pm, for an evening of games, conversation, and encouragement via ZOOM. Pastor Morgan will be sharing a brief message about how to process both life in quarantine and stepping out of that, however that looks and whenever that occurs. It’s going to be a lot of fun and a great place to see and connect with a lot of faces you may have not seen in a while! You can register for that here.

But second, and most important, we have some sad, but not unsurprising news: due to the recent and dramatic spike of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the Austin area, we will be delaying our re-opening.

Again, this is not unsurprising, as we have seen these cases rising for quite some time now, and one of our elder team, Dr. John Loyd, a physician involved in regional decision making in response to Covid, has been watching this trend from a first-person perspective.

The small silver lining to this (if you want to call it that), is that our brand new Livestream system is installed, and the delay gives us some time to get used to it and test it before we have people arrive back in our facility.

While we are saddened by this, given the data at this moment in Austin and the recommendations of local authorities, we are, again, delaying our re-opening and prioritizing the health of all our members.

As of this moment, no date has been set, but please know that we are watching this situation closely (even daily), and will work to re-establish a timeline for moving forward.

Thanks for your support, your prayers and your trust as we seek God’s wisdom and heart for our amazing congregation.

Finally, we wanted to let you know our staff will be off this coming Friday in observance of Juneteenth. We hope you are able to take a moment to learn about and celebrate this important moment in history that happened in our very own state!

With hope,

John Loyd
