South Africa Missionaries – Thembalitsha

Thembalitsha is an organization serving impoverished communities in South Africa. It was founded by Frank Christie in 1997 in response to the poverty and the affect of AIDS he saw in his own community of Somerset West, South Africa.

The Mission

Thembalitsha exists to transform the lives of the destitute, sick and vulnerable in South Africa through Education, Health and Training projects. Thembalitsha is a diverse team of people who seek to restore hope and develop people to a point of self-reliance. Since 1997, Thembalitsha Foundation has invested in the communities of South Africa – inspiring change and offering a hand up rather than a handout.

They are committed to addressing the socio-economic challenges of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized people of the Western and Eastern Cape by developing them to the point of self-reliance through the provision of healthcare, education and training.

The Need

Your financial support of Thembalitsha goes towards helping provide healthcare for AIDS patients, children, and single mothers, education for children K-12, and professional training for adults looking to earn a living a provide for their families.
