Highlighting Mosaic Students: Communication and Events

One of the greatest needs (and opportunities) we have seen two years into (and hopefully moving out of) the Covid-19 pandemic, is with our middle school and high school students.

We all know, have read about or experienced the difficulties that online-only schooling has created for students, parents, teachers and schools, on top of how contentious schooling environments have been over these past years.

All that to say, I am so thankful for every parent who has persevered, for every teacher who has shown up and done his or her best and for every administrator who has worked so hard to hold the tension of both keeping schools open and students as safe as possible.

And, I am so, so thankful for Pastor Wendell Williams and our student ministry at Mosaic Church, which has been steadily growing since we re-opened for good roughly a year ago.

Teens are hungry for connection and need a space to make friends and experience the love of Christ, and there are more opportunities here than ever before to do that.

(Side note: As a parent of four teenagers myself, when it comes to helping them get involved, consistency is king. Sometimes, relationships and connections take time.)

Two things of note for anyone involved in our student ministry:

  1. We have a brand-new, weekly parent email that goes out every Monday and communicates everything you need to know to stay in the loop of what’s happening with Mosaic Students Ministry. You can sign up for it here, if you don’t have it already.
  2. This Saturday, there’s a super fun day for all teens with so many sports activities, food, and the opportunity to build those relationships. Get the details for Park Day here, and plan to drop off your teen at 10 am at Katherine Fleischer Park. Park Day is followed by an evening of equipping for our high school girls at the church from 1:30 to 7:00 pm!

We love teens here; they are part of what makes families, communities and this church great.

We hope to see them out this Saturday, and then again on Sunday!
