Happy Friday

Happy Friday to you! A couple of key updates for us all:

1. 3 Service Update and Request:

All right…we’ve got a little church family need here!

It seems as though after the first week of a great 3 service split, we have quite of lot of bunching to the middle service. Last week we were at maximum seating capacity at the 10:45, and while of course we are thrilled that God is growing this church, His church, the reality of what that means, unfortunately, is this:

There is now very little space for guests or visitors in this service. Yikes! That’s definitely not what our hope was in going to 3 services! One of our key decision drivers in going to 3 services was the reality that we had reached our seating capacity in one service almost every week, and almost seating capacity in the other one as well. It does us no good to go three services, only to have one already full, three weeks in.

So, on behalf of our elder team, here is my heartfelt request:

Would you please consider making the 12:30 service your own, if it is possible at all for you?

I know some factors dictate which one you may attend, like mYouth, if you have babies, and Spanish Translation.

I know it may not feel super convenient—but I want to suggest a new way of looking at even your Sunday participation:

What if, by rearranging your Sunday morning just a bit, you could help your church move forward, guests discover what God is doing here, and non-Christians encounter Jesus like you have?

That’s what a move out of one of the two early services and into the third would mean, and those factors are a really big deal for us.

Honestly, I am loving that third service (and so is our worship team), and the real issue is not that it is not full enough—it is that the middle is too full.

So, again, if it is possible, would you consider a move to the 12:30 if you haven’t already?

We are working hard to make sure our mKids experience (if you have kids) is great for them as well. Please give us some grace in the transition to be able to deal with some fluidity and unknowns!

There is no guilt here, for sure! Like I said, I am just glad you are here and just being here no matter what time is wonderful! I know there are lots of factors that go into where you are able to participate, just like with my family of 6. Carrie and I have talked about it and our family is planning on being there for the 12:30 most weeks (you may see her at other ones from time to time to make sure she is visible). So, if you can’t no worries whatsoever, but I think there are some of us who could, and that would help us go further, faster.

Thanks! You’re great!

All, right—on to number two:

2. Leadership 215

Leadership 215 is a theological development program done in association with Every Nation, our global spiritual family. It will run on either a Sunday night or Wednesday mid-day at the Mosaic facility, and will take about a year and a half to complete.

Some of the courses you will go through will be:

Old and New Testament Survey
Systematic Theology
Hermeneutics
Apologetics
Leadership
Spirit-Empowered Ministry

…and others. The cost is only $50 a trimester (3 per year for 2 years). You can find out way more about it and register by clicking here.

Leadership 215 begins March 26 for the Sunday night track and March 29 for the Wednesday (please note, the Sunday night and the Wednesday day track are different approaches, so make sure you read through the options). This is a great way to grow in your faith and to connect with other leaders in a smaller environment.

That’s it! We will see you this Sunday!
