Giving Update + Fall Festival + Community Cookout

Hi everyone!

Three things, quickly:

1.) As you likely know, a little less than two weeks ago our Mosaic Elder team made a special ask, in light of all we have accomplished together over the past few years, for $250,000 for some significant facilities needs that have become chronic issues over the past year.

I am pleased to report that we are roughly 70% of our way to our goal. This is very encouraging, so thank you, and if you would like to give in order to help complete our need, you can do so here.

2.) Our biggest event of the year at Mosaic North, our Fall Festival, is coming up on Sunday, October 27, from 4-7 pm. Imagine a parking lot transformed by the presence of inflatables, games, prizes, food trucks, costumes, music and laughter, along with a whole bunch of your friends and family…it will be all this, and more!

But we do need about 100 volunteers to make it happen in one-hour time slots. Seriously, it’s a lot of fun, and we want you to come, make a station great for some folks, and be present for a really fun community moment. Oh, and feel free to invite your friends and neighbors…they will likely thank you for doing so!

3.) Finally…I’m happy to introduce our first ever Mosaic South Community Cookout, coming up right after the 11 am service on Sunday, October 13! There will be games, cakewalk, and yes, a cookout to connect those within our church community and be a welcoming presence for the neighborhood and south Austin. It’s going to be a fun event, and we could use a hand in making it great as well. You can register to volunteer here.

I love how Mosaic Church is committed to being a bright light in a world and city that needs it. By God’s grace and your generosity, we are doing great things together!

We’ll continue moving through the Gospel of Matthew this Sunday as we look at a fascinating passage, one that maybe you’ve never heard talked about in a church context.

I’m looking forward to it!
