Get Notified for 12 Days of Hope

Church Family,

If you haven’t heard, Mosaic Church is writing and releasing “12 Days of Hope,” twelve Advent season devotionals especially for you, and anyone you’d like to share them with. These are meant to be positive and substantive daily reflections on a particular piece of the birth narrative of Jesus, and they begin this Wednesday, December 13!

This year, they will be based out of Luke 1:39-56, which capture Mary’s (Jesus’ mother) interaction with her much older cousin, Elizabeth, after the early angelic annunciation. If you are unfamiliar with this particular passage, it includes one of the most beautiful and rich theological songs in all the Bible, sort of a callback to Hannah’s song in 1 Samuel 2, but still unique and searing in its vision of the Christ child’s ultimate purpose. These will be written by me and other staff and leaders from Mosaic. I hope you enjoy them.

You can sign up to receive daily text message reminders about these at ATXChristmas.com. You’ll be taken to ATXChristmas.com each day to check them out and forward to a friend who could use a word of hope.

Additionally, I just wanted to remind of our important holiday schedule and post-holiday plans:

  1. Our Christmas Eve Services are Sunday afternoon and evening: 3 pm, 4:30 pm, and 6 pm at Mosaic North and 4:30 pm at Mosaic South.
  2. Our December 31 services will be online only, broadcast at 9 am, 11 am and 12:30 pm.
  3. We will be back in person on January 7 at our normal service times of 9 am, 11 am, and 12:30 pm at Mosaic North and 11 am at Mosaic South.
  4. January 8-12 will be our annual week of prayer, fasting and consecration. It’s something we do with our global spiritual family in Every Nation, and such an important week in the life of our church.

I know with Christmas around the corner, it’s understandably hard to think about anything else beyond January 1, but I mention this to you to get it on your radar. That week, we will be providing prayer and fasting guides, hosting daily prayer meetings at our north and south campuses, and concluding it with a powerful night of worship that Friday, January 12 at 7 pm.

Before any of that, though, we have our weekend Advent services, with special moments and Christmas music each week, as we continue our look into what the Prophets, Poets, Priests and Kings of the Bible show us about how and why Christmas makes us sing.

Much love and Christmas cheer to you,

Morgan
