Hi everyone!
As many of you heard today, our elder team at Mosaic Church has put a financial ask forward to the church for $250,000 to be received over the next month, specifically for facilities needs at our north campus, and centered around our HVACs and plumbing.
We asked this in light of the positive and outward trajectory of the church over the last four years, in which we have planted four locations/new church plants. Over that time, as a congregation, we have given away $444,000 (plus a lot of amazing people and great leaders) to begin and establish those new locations, which is incredible! We have given, somewhat, to the detriment of ourselves and at what we felt to be God’s leading to get these new churches started and launched effectively.
Given the need we had over the summer to replace numerous HVACs at our north campus (you may remember the leaking of, and then the dying of, our units!), along with a serious plumbing issue in our 50-year-old facility, we feel that the time is right to trust God for the finances to keep our Mosaic North campus in the condition it needs to be in to continue to be who we’ve been, and do what we do: serve our city and function in an apostolic way, to the best of our ability.
We would like to be able to receive this over the next four weeks, primarily, and if you missed the message from Dr. John Loyd, Gaylen Washington, and myself this Sunday, I would encourage you to watch or listen to it (and access the slides) as soon as possible. It’s a highly encouraging reminder of what we have been able to do and be over the last few years in specific and includes far more information and details than I have included here.
So, this email is a follow-up reminder to those who did attend, along with a request to those who were unable to attend, to participate in this financial ask. If you’ve been here for any length of time, you know that asks like this are rare, that we tend to only ask for things outside the church–but this is a kind of exception we are excited to make because of what it will allow us to continue to be together.
Would you prayerfully consider giving towards our goal of $250,000? |
