25 Jun Field Day and Party in the Park! This Saturday From 11a – 3p
It got pushed back by the rain we got last month, but never fear—it’s back!
Our annual Field Day is this Saturday from 11a-3p at Kathryn Fleischer Park in North Austin (Google Maps).
Field Day is a huge event, full of food, games and fun, and is a great way to meet people from Mosaic as well as an ideal opportunity to invite people to something we do away from our facility.
We’ll have hamburgers and hot dogs, classic field day games, human foosball, basketball, sand volleyball, tennis courts, bouncy houses for small children, and the Kona Ice Truck out there as well.
We’ll be loading up from the church parking lot at 9 am, so if you have a pickup truck and some time to help, we could sure use it—there’s quite a lot to haul there and back, but it’s worth it.
Also, we could use your help with some desserts and sides, so please consider making or bringing one to help with lunch!
Events like these are big parts of what being part of a church community is all about. It will probably be hot, and you will probably sweat, and in that list of things above you may not have seen the exact thing you would have liked, but in the end, it’s not as much about what we do as it is about being together. I’m not coming for the activities as much as I am for the people, and to be with you.
And yes, there will be the super-awkward, ultra-ugly, 7 foot tall trophy to be awarded to the winning Field Day team. It wouldn’t be the same day without it!
That’s it! Can’t wait to see you there. I know I’ll be wearing my SPF 1000 (I might even share some if you ask nicely!).
