Easter 2016

Hi everyone!

I hope you are getting excited to celebrate Easter/Resurrection Sunday this weekend at Mosaic Church. If you’ve ever been here before on Easter, you know it’s always a Sunday to remember, and our hope is that we can honor Jesus with everything we are and everything we have. Here are some crucial details about this coming Sunday that will help you make it amazing:

First of all, you should know we’ll be having three services, at 8:30 am, 10:15 am, and noon, and there will be the most amount of space available in the noon service. Full children’s ministry will be offered at all three (thank you amazing mKids team members!)

There will be a ton of special music, ministry through dance, lots of new videos, communion, and the first message in the brand new part of the overall look at Wisdom Literature we have been doing (we finished our last message in Proverbs last week and are transitioning on to something else the Bible says we must look at in order to handle life well)—and some other surprise stuff that I’m so excited about but can’t tell you about.

To help us with the day, we’d like to ask you to do something a bit unique that is going to make our time together extra memorable and meaningful:

We’d like to ask you to download an app on your smartphone right now (yes, right now), from either the Apple App Store or from Google Play, called “Wham City Lights.”

Once “Wham City Lights” is downloaded, it’s going to ask you to allow it access to your phone’s microphone, and you say “yes” or “allow” when prompted.

You only have to do that one time, and from then on when the app is opened, it will automatically be ready to be used for a special portion of our service (which is near the beginning, by the way, so you definitely don’t want to be late! Please please please arrive early and have your children checked in early, for those of you who have them).

We will make some space in the service for people to download the app who may have not previously, but don’t wait till then and take a chance on it not being able to download for some reason!

Finally, please consider inviting someone with you this weekend—we have made space, not just for all of us at Mosaic, but for many people whose lives we believe will be touched by what they see, hear and experience.

Easter isn’t just good news “for us”, but good news for the world! This weekend is an incredible opportunity to invite that co-worker, neighbor, friend or family member to a service that could potentially change their life, or at the very least be something that will cause them to see church and faith in a new way. I believe that every single person that comes as a result of your invitation will actually thank you for doing so.

Also, in case you missed the announcement last Sunday, there will be a special Good Friday prayer and communion service from 5:30 to 6:30 pm on this Friday (naturally) in Elevate. Come and do what Christians all over the world have done for centuries—meditate and be moved by the strange goodness of Good Friday. We’ll be praying there for God’s power and presence to be felt by everyone who comes on Sunday, and for lives to be changed as a result. Please note that we will not have our normal Friday morning prayer since we are gathering that evening.

All right—that’s it! We’ll see you at 8:30 am, 10:15 am, or noon this Sunday!

I can’t wait to celebrate Jesus and the power of His resurrection with you.
