| I’m very excited to announce that we are able to carry out our first short-term mission trip in more than two years! Mission is a core value at Mosaic, and short-term trips are one way we express that value.
What I love about how we do short-term mission trips is the way in which we seek to better local communities holistically. We know that the greatest influencers for good in any nation or city are those living there (they are the “heroes”, not us), and we seek to energize and lift those laboring there, all while considering the impact our team has on the local community and economy.
Thankfully, we are able to go to the Dominican Republic (DR) this summer, partnering with Makarios International. Our team will be led by Pastor Brett Millican and this trip will be held July 23-30. Though registration is closed, all of us who are not going can still make a big difference in that nation and for the team members who go and represent us all while they serve in that nation. Here’s how you and your friends and family can get involved:
We have created an Amazon WishList of specific items we need and Makarios could use during our time there. Simply click on this Amazon link, purchase, and have them shipped to Mosaic (the address is provided on the list, even though I know you already had it memorized!).
Second, on the doors leading into our main worship center, there are a couple of QR codes you can scan. One takes you to that list, the other takes you to a landing page where you can donate financially. Every little bit helps our team and its members.
So, while unfortunately our trip to Casa Vallado in San Luis Potosi, Mexico had to be rescheduled, our trip to the DR remains a go. I’m looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing the impact that we make together.
See you Sunday as we continue in the life, story and book of the Hebrew prophet, Jonah.
Blessings,
Morgan |
