27 Aug Differently, the Same
The world has changed since 2019, and so have we all. The unforeseen events of the last two-ish years have shaped us in new ways.
And yet, as the people of God, we still have the same value system. We still have the same call, the same vision, the same purpose.
In other words, we are…differently, the same.
A different moment…but the same vision.
Different circumstances…but the same hope.
Different challenges…but the same mission.
Different risks…but the same faith.
We are differently, the same.
And so, this fall, I’d like to invite you to join me for a unique look at the core value system of Mosaic Church through the lives of three, central, historical Bible figures: a look at Worship, through the life of Abraham, a look at Community through the life of Moses, and a look at Mission through the life of Elijah.
Along the way, we will be having a key event or moment that can help us live out each value in an especially concrete way:
- Worship: A special night of Prayer and Worship on September 10 where our focus will be on soul, relational and physical healing
- Community: Community Group/Ministry Fair in the Lobby on September 19 (WITH SURPRISES!)
- Mission: Our Fall Fest is returning! Mark your calendars for Sunday, October 24, as we transform our parking lot into a space to invite our neighbors.
This Sunday, we will be taking a look at one of my all-time favorite passages (it’s kind of a fun/strange/incredibly meaningful story) in Genesis 15. We are going to see how worship looks like having confidence in the middle of a crisis.
I’ll see you then!
