06 Oct Celebrate Recovery
I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for all the ways, large and small, that you contribute to, and give to Mosaic Church. I know, in response to our request a few weeks ago, that a number of you have made the move to our third service to give space to those in the first and second, and for that, THANK YOU!! Please keep it up! It’s making a difference across the board. We had a ton of people at our first Third Service Hangout last week (we ran out of food quickly, so sorry if that affected you in some way!) Also, a certain football team from Dallas lost, so sorry about that as well. Or not, if you are from Houston. Anyway…
I especially wanted to bring to your attention something new that is beginning here at Mosaic, called “Celebrate Recovery”. CR, as it is more commonly known, is a Christ-centered, well-respected and highly effective 12-step program for finding freedom from the things that shackle people’s lives and hold them in some kind of bondage to sin, shame or a painful past. CR refers to these as “hurts, habits and hang-ups.” Whether you are going through something in terms of some kind of addictive pattern, or a kind of hurt you just can’t get past, we would love to encourage you to consider coming to Celebrate Recovery and find hope for change! Or, if you have a friend or loved one you know could benefit from this kind of ministry environment, please let them know as well. You can think of it as a highly specialized community group!
And thank you to all of you who have helped to make this happen here at Mosaic, especially one of our deacons, David Makovy!
CR will meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm in the Family Room and will launch on October 17—no child care is being offered.
You can also check out Dan Caparello’s story here, about his breakthrough through CR.
Blessings to you! I’ll see you Sunday as we continue on in “The Journey”.
