Hi everyone, I wanted to give you an update on what is happening with our Mosaic South campus.
If you’re new, we (soft) launched Mosaic South last November, after the generous gift of property and facility from Texas Oaks Baptist Church (TOBC). It has continued to grow and be a blessing in the community there–thank you to everyone who has contributed financially to that new location, has prayed for it or even made that location your new church home!
Here are some exciting updates:
- We have been able to re-do the inside of the main worship room, re-make the children’s facility, and re-paint almost every room
- We installed a brand-new, state-of-the-art sound system this past week, paving the way for a fuller music team
- We are in the process of creating a new, beautiful, artistic sign for the property
- We have stained glass ordered to be installed in the windows in the main worship room
- Our staff from Mosaic North has rotated to train new service team members, and our worship team has also rotated week by week
- Dr. Terrance Green and Pastor Brett Millican have shared the majority of the preaching, communicating in tandem with our series and messages from our north campus
- The billboard is up on our north campus as a reminder of what is happening south on Bilbrook!
In roughly six month’s time, the congregation has grown from about 35 people to roughly 150 a week, with people from the community coming, meeting Christ, being baptized, and becoming a part of that congregation.
We are so thrilled and honored by all that is happening there. This past week marks the one-year anniversary when I got that fateful call from James Torrey (and halfway suspected it was a prank call!), the now former Lead Pastor of TOBC. That single call set the wheels in motion toward what exists today.
Praise God for people like him, and like you, who have supported and cheered this new work.
We look forward to what is to come!
Morgan
