05 Jan Prayer and Fasting 2019
Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe this is the last year of the current decade, and that babies born in the next years, or graduates that graduate in the next few years, will have birth years and graduation dates in the 2020s!
I hope you had a great holiday season, and we were very glad to minister, overall, to so many people over the course of 4 services at Christmas. Many stories and reports have come in to us about God touching people’s lives, families and hearts over those two days.
As we turn toward the coming year, my heart is filled with anticipation and hope at all that God would do among us.
To kick off the year, we are beginning with a couple of things in connection and unity with thousands of Christians around the world in our global spiritual family of Every Nation Churches and Ministries:
We will be calling a church-wide fast for 5 days, starting next week, Monday through Friday, January 7-11. The theme of our fast is “Great Faith”, and there is a helpful fasting guide, full of daily devotionals and prayer points, that is available in digital form on our app and will be available in printed form in our lobby this Sunday. I would highly encourage you to grab one and use it during the week—there really is great content in there that will aid and encourage you.
Also, we will be having prayer meetings each day, Monday through Friday from 12-1 pm and 7-8 pm in the Mosaic Student Center (also known as Building C) except for the final prayer meeting on Friday night, which will be in our Main Worship Room. We would love for you to be there at least once or more for any of these meetings during this week, and there is childcare available for Friday night’s special worship meeting, and you can register for that here.
I’m excited about all God will do among us during our fast—every year we hear about healings that happen, or jobs that come through, or lives that get changed as God responds to our cry for Him.
I’ll see you Sunday as we kick off a short little two-week series called “Great Faith” that coincides with our fast.
