Important Updates and Stuff You’ll Want to Read

Hi everyone! Welcome to March 2020!  A few things of important note, general interest, and genuine inspiration:

1. Coronavirus Conversation

Like you, we are monitoring and taking seriously the spread of the new coronavirus across the globe, and have been praying for the slow of its spread and the mitigating of its effect for many weeks now. In light of both the news around this and the best practices recommended by the Center for Disease Control, our elder team would like to recommend to you some common-sense best practices for Mosaic Church:

a.) If you are sick or experiencing flu-like symptoms, please stay home!

b.) Please wash your hands. With soap. Regularly (our staff have already embraced this practice, thank you).

c.) If you have to cough or sneeze while you’re here (it happens to even the best of us, especially in allergy season), please make every effort to cover it up. In other words, do unto others…

d.) Feel free to merely wave at and give a big smile to– instead of hug or shake hands with– people you meet and greet and love on Sundays.

e.) FYI, our surfaces (particularly door handles, bathroom surfaces, and mKids areas) will be wiped down after every service.

As it’s been said, at this point, as with anything contagious, prudence and prayer are both helpful.

2. Daylight Savings time is this weekend!

So push those clocks forward an hour. We will be ready!

3. ICYMI

The Every Nation Campus Student Conference was last weekend, and more than 300 college students from around Texas gathered at Mosaic Church for a life-changing weekend. There were around a dozen decisions for Christ and the same number of water baptisms. And close to 40 students came forward to indicate interest in vocational campus ministry! Obviously, every calling from God is a kind of unique “ministry call”, but these kinds of conferences offer the opportunity to do what a public university setting never will: encourage students to consider vocational ministry. The college campuses of the world need laborers!

4. Supernatural Ministry

Over the last few weeks, as we have preached on the miracles of Christ in the book of Mark, our staff and prayer teams have noticed a dramatic uptick in the amount of people getting really touched and healed by Jesus at the end of our services. Bodies have been touched, emotional places have been healed, and people have been getting set free, with hope for the future.

Like you, I am so encouraged by this, and am very grateful for all the grace being poured out on us. Thank you for believing and for bringing your faith every week! As we worship, as we pray, as we seek Heaven, it is being opened to us. I’ll see you this Sunday as we look at Mark 5, and the famous story of the healing and deliverance of the man in the tombs.

God is good.
