James, the half-brother of Jesus, exhorted the Church to, “not just be hearers of the Word, but doers also.” So then, how could we possibly talk about the Love of God in the Gospel of John without simultaneously putting our money where our mouth is? Love is meant to transform the one being loved. Jesus’ love has transformed us, and our desire is to see that same love, displayed through us, bring about that same transformation in and around the city of Austin.
To that end, a number of our community groups will be planning and executing service projects throughout the second half of October. You can learn about these projects and sign up to join one by selecting the project of interest below.
