Easter Recap and 4 service updates (Super important!)

Hi there!

I know that many of you are receiving this email for the first time, so welcome! This (almost always) weekly email from Mosaic Church gives you some up to the minute information on all that’s ongoing in our community, some opportunities to get involved at certain points, and some thoughts and insights to either consider or to encourage your heart.

So, again, welcome! And a big thank you to all of you who made it out to our Easter services last weekend (2 on Friday and 4 on Sunday). Mosaic had an all-time record attendance, and there were many people who were touched and responded to the message. We do all this because we love Jesus, we love people and we love our city. So again, thank you to all of you who gave of your time and energy in some way last weekend to make it great and to serve people!

I know that we had some challenges with our screens – we have invested in upgrading our camera feeds across the church to help out in our overflow room, our Nursing Mother’s Room, as well to be able to put our services on Facebook live, and as hard as we worked, there was still some “glitchiness” there.

As always, when we have technical issues, it’s a reminder that the church is still really all about Jesus and the worship of Him, and that the church really is the people, not the screens or sound or the lights or the coffee or the air conditioning! As important as all that stuff is (especially during the summer in Texas!), it’s still not what the church is about at its core, and if we forget that, I think we lose focus on what matters most.

That being said, we should have things right by this Sunday, because it still does really matter, because it helps us communicate better and and most of all, because it helps us present the person of Christ in a unique way that connects with our culture.

Speaking of this Sunday, there are a few important things you should know as we transition into four services, at 8:30, 10:00, 11:30 and 1 pm.

1. We also have a brand new “Kids Korner” open! This environment is for the children of those who volunteer and are team members in some way, and whose children stay for multiple services. It looks amazing, so thanks goes to you parents who contributed to it in some way, and to our mKids team that put it together.

2. Spanish Translation will be during the 11:30 service.

Si, es verdadHasta entonces!

3. Middle school and High School Services will be:

Our service for our middle schoolers (6-8 grades) will be during the 10 am service over in the Mosaic Student Center (across the parking lot from our main building). A service for both middle and high school students will be during the 1 pm.

4. Thanks for your patience as we continue to work out our parking flow on Sundays. We appreciate all our team members who have been working hard to design something great for a parking lot not originally designed (at least by people!) for a church!

5. Please make every effort to be on time this week, and going forward. You probably won’t notice, but our services will be just a tad shorter to accommodate these new times. What that means is that if you aren’t in your seat ready to worship when we begin, you will miss the impact of our time together that much more. I know stuff happens – alarm clocks don’t go off, or they’re set to PM instead of AM, or the children won’t cooperate, or you can’t find your keys, etc.! So, no worries, my heart in saying this is just to let you know how important you are, even to everyone else in the room!

Much love to you, as we start a brand new series I am really excited about this week, called “The Gospel is for Everyone”. We will be looking at the book of Romans, written by the apostle Paul, and seeing what the Gospel is, who it is for, and how it is supposed to change our lives.
