Mosaic Mentors

MENTORING CHANGES LIVES

When we asked local schools what they needed most to help their students succeed they responded with one word: mentors.

ABOUT MOSAIC MENTORING

Currently, we provide mentors primarily for Live Oak Elementary School and Deerpark Middle School. Many of the children at these schools find themselves in situations where adult interaction and guidance are rare, if not nonexistent.

These boys and girls are simply in need of someone who can listen, provide encouragement, and share life-lessons to help guide them into a successful future. In short, they need positive role models.

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN 30 MINUTES

Want to make a difference in a child’s life and impact the next generation for years to come? We’re looking for men and women dedicated to changing lives to commit 30 minutes a week to mentor one student at either Live Oak Elementary or Deer Park Middle.

As a mentor, you will meet with your assigned student on the Live Oak or Deerpark campus for 30 minutes each week. During this time, your focus will be on providing academic encouragement, helping build confidence, serving as a positive role model, and encouraging your student to consider college and career options.

STEP 1: BECOME A MOSAIC MENTOR

Help us change the lives of our local youth by becoming a Mosaic Mentor today! We want to get behind these schools, these students, and the teachers because we firmly believe, “there is no life-change without life-exchange.” (Tim Elmore)

The first step in becoming a mentor is to sign-up for the Mosaic Mentor program.

STEP 2: APPLY & TRAIN with ROUND ROCK ISD

The second step in becoming a mentor is completing the required Volunteer Application and Training through the Round Rock ISD Student Mentoring Program. This thorough and necessary training is designed to help you have a successful mentoring relationship with your student.

Apply to be a volunteer and sign-up for a training session through the Round Rock ISD Mentoring website under 4 easy steps to become a mentor!
