Mid-Year Highlights

Mid-Year Highlights

Every so often, I like to do something for Mosaic that many parents do with their children: have an annual or semi-annual “well check,” just to see how they are doing. Kind of like your vital signs, these next few “line items” aren’t everything, but they do paint a positive picture of how we are doing, so far, in 2024.

Here’s a quick rundown of some high points!

  • We have had 62 water baptisms so far this year; this almost eclipses last year’s total.
  • We have recognized 66 new members.
  • We had over 800 attend our annual Day in the Park…what a great time we had!
  • Our Summer KIDCON had a record registration.
  • We just finished (and may have not completely recovered from) fundraising for and launching Every Nation Youth Camp Central, with more than 130 middle and high school students attending, alongside 50+ staff and volunteers. This was an enormous task and a huge accomplishment.
  • Through Mosaic Street Ministry and our partnership with the Charlie Center, we have seen more than 120 people living on the street be housed over the past year…the impact of what we do together cannot be overstated.
  • Our short-term missions team took 20 to the Dominican Republic to support Makarios Ministries.
  • Our week-long fast to begin the year was a powerful start to 2024.
  • Overall, this year’s Easter attendance was a record.
  • Mosaic South continues to grow, approaching just under 200 people a week. In addition, Mosaic Street Ministry has launched there as well.
  • Mosaic Fort Worth inches up on its one-year anniversary.
  • Iglesia Delta, the church we helped plant in El Paso in January 2023, just celebrated their first anniversary and has an exciting story to share this Sunday. (You’ll hear about it then!)
  • Our Marriage Course saw 45 couples participate, and our Pre-Marriage Course launched for the first time with 15 engaged couples participating.
  • Our Mosaic Communities continue to grow.
  • We continue to write and release original music.
  • Keong Fong was set in as a Pastor at Mosaic.
  • We have made numerous hires at both our north and south campuses to keep up with our growth.
  • Our service times shifted, and the results have been encouraging. (Thank you for making the adjustment!)
  • We now have space to grow in all three services at Mosaic North.
  • We hosted our first-ever Political Symposium to address our culture’s anxiety around the upcoming election.

….I could go on!

All that to say…thank you!

Thank you for a great first half of the year!

Most of all, I would like to honor God’s faithfulness, the love of Jesus and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our church. We truly are held together by Christ (Colossians 1) and are His people and the sheep of his pasture (Psalm 100).

Blessings to you.
