Upcoming Mission Trip Opportunities

John Stott, former Anglican Priest and Missionary once said

“We must be global Christians with a global vision because we serve a global God.”

As you know, as a church community, Mosaic has three core values: Worship, Community & Mission. Our desire is to be followers of Christ who live Gospel-Centered, Relationally-Intentional, Missionally-Minded lives both locally and abroad as we seek to obey the words of Jesus in Matthew 28 to go make disciples of all nations.

And so we are taking the next step in our focus on global missions. We have recruited a team of leaders to help establish, develop and execute short term mission trips around the world with the expressed desire to partner with local and indigenous church leadership to encourage, resource and serve alongside these churches to reach their countries with the Good News of Jesus. If you want to change the heart of a nation, you have to change it from within.

Therefore, we are strategically partnering with ministries that will allow us the opportunity to return on an annual, or even a twice-a-year, basis to build relationships, establish trust, develop leaders, and maintain a consistent vision for what God is doing in that part of the world. In other words, we are not just going to spend a week on a mission trip so we can return, pat ourselves on the back, and say what good Christians we are. We are partnering with churches and church planters both now and for the foreseeable future to see long-lasting change. Will our lives be impacted? Absolutely. Will we feel good about what we are doing? I hope so. But what we are stepping into is a long-term vision of seeing God use us to serve people in need, encourage local church leadership, and see God’s Kingdom come on earth as in heaven.

So, if you have never been on a mission trip to another nation, or if you have and you want to do it again, I want to invite you to join us on one of our upcoming, short-term trips. We have 7 different trips happening over the next 11 months in nations like Mexico, The Dominican Republic, South Africa, Rwanda, India, and Kenya. Each team will have a point person to train you in raising support and preparing for what each trip will encompass. This point person will also be leading the team on the trip.

We do serve a God with a global vision, and He is inviting us into this grand adventure, so let’s be a church that responds with a passion for the nations.

Visit our missions page for more details about the trips.
