Mosaic Women’s Weekend!

If you’ve attended our retreats in the past, we’re going to ask you to let go of any preconceived notions of the experience you might have this weekend. As in the past, you can count on a few things: accommodations with your friends, excellent corporate worship and teaching, and time to connect with God and one another.

What you might not be expecting: 2 nights (what?!?), shared home-like spaces, custom menus, unique experiences in a unique place and sincere challenges to push us deeper into our relationships with God and each other.

We will begin our weekend by joining together on Thursday evening for dinner and parting ways on Saturday afternoon. So start requesting that time off and booking that babysitter so that you can pack a bag and join us right after the workday on Thursday.

Unlike our hotel-like accommodations in the past, we will be staying in actual homes with bedrooms, kitchens and common spaces. We’ll be eating here, fellowshipping here, and growing together here. Some homes are bigger than others; some beds are bigger than others. You will have a chance to request friends to room with (up to 3) but we do ask that you list at least one person with whom you’d be willing to share a queen or king bed. We want as many women to be able to join us as possible, so #thesnuggleisreal! If this environment precludes you from joining us, please let us know so that we can do our best to meet you where you are and make a way for you to come.

Our goal is to do our best to place you in homes with friends and women from your community group to give you time with the women who are in your life. If you are not in a community group, we will be placing you geographically in order to help foster relationships that would be close to your home.

That’s it for now! If you have specific questions please direct them to our most fabulous Pastor Cori at women@mosaicchurchaustin.com. Can’t wait to see you there!

Frequently Asked Questions

What if the cost is a barrier for me?

If cost is a barrier, please indicate your need for a scholarship using our scholarship request form.

What if I only want to come one night?

The registration cost will not change. We really encourage you to make your best effort to come for both nights to be able to experience the fullness of the weekend.

What will the food situation be?

We are creating a custom menu for the weekend and are stocking your home’s with all items needed for your housemates to cook up delicious meals together! We hope this communal way for cooking and eating will allow for organic life to be done around the table.

What if I have dietary concerns?

We will be asking about any food allergies and/or dietary restrictions on the registration form and will do our best to accommodate these needs. However, you are also welcome to bring any food you’d like with you—your houses are equipped with full kitchens! This will not change the cost of your weekend ticket. Your house leader(s) will be reaching out to you the week before to make sure you feel covered in this way.

What do I need to bring?

Comfortable and layered clothing (this is in November and also Texas so the weather could be cold or hot).

Your bible and personal journal.

Special pillow if that is what helps you sleep.

Comfortable shoes, there is beautiful walking paths for us to utilize.

Swimsuit for the hot tubs and pools at the different homes.

Exercise mat for our optional morning activity.

Can I bring my baby?

Due to the nature of our new housing situation, we have chosen this year to accommodate breastfeeding mamas by making a house available for this purpose. If you are interested in inquiring about these accommodations and the restrictions involved, please email drea@mosaicchurchaustin.com.

What if I have more questions?

Please email us for all further questions at women@mosaicchurchaustin.com.
