Discussion Guide: Searching for Christmas Week 3

PRAYER

Take the first few minutes of your time together to listen to what God is doing in one another’s lives and pray for any specific needs people in your group may have.

Today’s Discussion

This week we continue our Christmas series, Searching for Christmas. Over the next few weeks, as we draw nearer to the celebration of the coming of Jesus, we will be looking at the longing and the hope the story of Christmas arouses in the human heart. What is it that we are all so eager to experience, to know, to have? What is it that all the excitement and gifts and lights are ultimately pointing us to? Let’s find out together.

Closing Thought

1 John 2:7-10

‘Beloved, I am writing you no new commandment, but an old commandment that you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word that you have heard. At the same time, it is a new commandment that I am writing to you, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining. Whoever says he is in the light and hates his brother is still in darkness. Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. ‘

Pensamientos de Cierre

1 Juan 2:7-10
