16 Apr Discussion Guide: Easter Sunday – A Better Story
Take the first few minutes of your time together to listen to what God is doing in one another’s lives and pray for any specific needs people in your group may have.
This Easter we took a look at the Better Story of the Gospel and the resurrection of Jesus, and how that story turns our story into a better story as well. The fact that Jesus is alive means that our story can have a better past, a better present and a better future. Let’s see how the empty tomb turns even the most difficult of narratives into the great adventure God has called us to be a part of.
We’re going to do something a little different in this discussion. Since we’re talking about story, we’re going to create space for everyone to join in the conversation tonight. We will only ask a few questions and I want to encourage everyone here to contribute to the discussion in some way.
How can we know for sure that Jesus rose from the dead?
How has Jesus’ resurrection given you a new perspective on your past?
How has Jesus’ resurrection impacted your present, the way you perceive life, relate to others, or deal with pressure?
How has Jesus’ resurrection given you hope for the future?
Now, we want to take our remaining time and just pray for one another’s stories. We want to pray for the life, death and resurrection of Jesus to become more real and more transformative in our lives.
